LAYING THE FIELD TO A FIXED LIABILITY

Postby PYTELIUM » Mon Mar 10, 2008 7:15 pm

Before a race I make up my betting tissue for the horse race, say 4 runners,15/8,7/2,4/1,7/1

I want to calculate staked so the liability is 100 each..
using a calculator 28.73,14.28,12.50,7.14..I then submit my lays ..
28.73 at 2.75..or nearest allowed odds etc...

This is very slow and monotonous as I have to enter each bet 1 at a time etc after the calculation..if there are 20 runners..

can I use the software
to speed up this process...there must be a faster way?

We will be releasing an update later this week which will include a Betfair website style bets manager. You will be able to easily lay the field to a fixed liability with this version.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
