Odds Request

Postby Michal » Wed Mar 19, 2008 11:23 pm

Hi,

Im still comin to tearms with Betfair all together as well as the BA, I now have a program in VB.net that interfaces with the spreadsheet ...... I tried the com object but I was getting an error and as Im not very skilled in programing I just went with what I can do to do what I want !

Anyway, I would like to ask for odds about a horse which is something that one is supposed to be ablle to do on Betfair .......

I asume that I just place the WANTED adds in R Column on my horses row ???

What happens then ?

Do the odds have to be matched by someone exactly or will I get a price better then my odds if available from someone else who places an offer higher them mine?

Could someone explayin this a bit and how it works using BA?

Hi,

If you just wanted to use the current odds and it was a BACK bet for example; in the odds column which I am assuming is the usual column R then you would key in cell R5 for example =F5 and in R6, =F6 etc

Regards,
Mark

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
