MyBets Sheet question

Postby Smokin Joe » Wed Jun 11, 2008 6:10 am

I have multiple markets opened on one tab. When I place bets, the information on the "MyBets" sheet blinks (as the bet information appears to overwrite itself).

Is that because there are multiple markets on the one tab?

If so, is there any other way of knowing if my bets have been fully matched?
Using the P&L figure would be very difficult as I will (probably) have more than one bet on each market.

Hello smokin

I get a split second flicker when information changes in the “my bets“ tab. This happens with single market open from quick pick, single market from multiple tabs, multiple markets in one tab, and is no worse in any of these instances. The flicker is that slight if i blinked i would miss it.

If your bets have been fully matched the profit box adjacent to that selection will no longer be yellow.

If you are using multiple worksheets they all require their own MyBets worksheet otherwise the MyBets worksheet will be overwritten with bets from other worksheets. For example if you have 2 worksheets named sheet1 and sheet2 then you need to name the MyBets worksheets sheet1_MyBets and sheet2_MyBets.

gary,
I use only one worksheet, with multiple markets, and the MyBets sheet flickers.

pugs, thanks for your replies. The MyBets sheet continually flickers, ie all the time.

I do not monitor BA hence I will not be aware when the box i no longer yellow. I am trying to set everything up to work from the Excel spreadsheet.

 I wasn't paying attention. Multiple markets on one tab and MyBets aren't really compatible, the bets from different markets will overwrite each other which is why you see the flickering. I will see what I can do to enable BA to support this.

Gary,
Just to make sure I am not doting, I opened up 2 markets on the one worksheet. I placed 1 bet on each market and both bets are trying to appear in Row 2 of the "MyBets" sheet - hence the continual flicker.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
