Tick Offset on Partial Matched Bets

Postby laffo16 » Mon Sep 29, 2008 11:59 am

Im under the assumption that the tick offset trigger only kicks once the bet has been fully matched? or does it launch for each partially matched bet.

what would happen in this situation
trigger offset set to 20 ticks.
back £2 at 2.00
bet partially matched for £1
"update" trigger odds to 1.90
remaining £1 is matched at 1.90

at what points will the trigger offset be activated, would two seperate offsets be produced, or if only one, at which odds would it take.

Hi,

The offset bet is fired as soon as any part of the stake is matched and if the remaining stake is matched then a separate offset bet is also fired.

If you update the remaining stake to new odds and it gets matched then the offset bet will be fired at the new odds.

Regards,
Mark

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
