I'd have to make it LAY (if POM balance unexpectedly shifted the wrong way) to cancel a bad bet without actually knowing whether my initial bad bet had been matched or not... that'd get costly if left unattended.

The formula basically lays horses that are Odds On in the place market when they are running in 5 furlong races and/or when their price has contracted by 25% or more. It will place back races where there are just two places paid out.

The API version is still coming. I will definitely be updating it to log matched bets at actual matched odds and stake in the triggered betting. I will do this within the next week.

Hi LayIt,

glad you're back

An API version of your program is a great idea. But to be a member you would need to pay 200 pounds each month. It is very generous of you that you are doing all the coding for free, but everyone who will be using the API version should pay you some money every month that will cover your fees at least.

Very eager to see the API version of your great program.

Yeah, I've found the actual refresh to be very tempermental. Not sure if it's related to the app, net connection or PC Memory.

Have multiple events open, really messes it up, understandable though. As mentioned before I would like the ability to monitor an event a definable no. of minuted before it's start time.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
