My Bets / P&L not showing

Postby ralph » Mon Feb 16, 2009 8:33 am

Hi, started using Gruss yesterday and hoping someone can help.

I will be using Gruss mainly for sports betting .. I have already placed a large number of matched bets (also currently have a number of unmatched) on the AT&T National Winners market (golf) .. however when I sign into Gruss these bets are not showing and its saying I have no matched or unmatched bets. My bets are showing in other markets such as top 5 so the set up seems to be correct.

When I place a new bet using Gruss in the winners market it is not showing in Gruss but when I sign into BF I can see it there along with all other bets placed.

I am using IE and ver 1.1.0.20

cheers.

Edit: - Will add to that that there has been a far larger volume of bets in the winners market compared to the T5 markets

Sounds like a slow connection issue. A market with a large number of bets will take longer to retrieve the bets. The API has had a problem with response times in recent months.

Try the following. Select 'Performance options' from the options menu. Untick 'automatically adjust' and drag the timeout value sliders to the maximum (20000). Do the bets appear after doing this?

Hi, thanks for getting back but after doing that they are still not showing.

It may well be a slow connection issue as Im currently using wireless and there are a large volume of bets.

That means it's taking longer than 20 seconds to retrieve them which is very poor. I can only suggest trying it with a wired connection. How may bets are there roughly? I can check if it's the same on my connection and report it to Betfair.

There are a lot of bets. Very approx it looks like around 1300. Obviously that is mainly made up of bit matching of a lot of the bets im looking for.

Betfair gets very slow on the outright market for me by the weekend due to the volume of bets, hence the reason I thought Id try Gruss.

I will try connecting direct later on and see how it goes. I have the 20 meg b/band so hopefully should be ok.

Problem is I have 2 x laptops on the go so generally have to go through a router which takes a lot of the speed out. I also use the old interface using http://sports.betfair.com/Index.do?mi=1 ... mv=classic which is uasble. The new interface is just brutally slow.

Thanks again

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
