Refresh rate

Postby clinton » Wed May 13, 2009 12:05 pm

Just a question: the refresh rate of my excel triggers is the same I set in BA? Or can I set different refresh rates for BA and my excel triggers sheets?

The default refresh rate in your excel sheet is going to be the same defined in B.A. Options - Preferences but you can change it in excel by putting a value (between 0.1 and infinite) in cell "Q2". This way you can have 10 markets logged to 10 different worksheets each of them having it's own refresh rate. You can also put conditions to your refresh rate with some functions like for example:

putting in cell "Q2" this formula if(E2="In Play";0.1;10)
In this way, if you have a strategy that is only active when the market is in-play you can save resources until then.

The two are the same, you can change the BA refresh rate from Excel in cell Q2 (trigger betting must be enabled).

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
