Having done a search through the post i see this error has been mentioned before. Im now getting this whilst trying to Lay horses through excel. Just wondered Gary if you did ever come to a conclusion on this one. If not im willing to lend a hand to try find it out as its crucial to me to get this working :)

Right i think i found the problem in my case. I get the error when i have formulas in the Odds and Stake columns and trigger LAY or BACK on every horse in the race. I dont get the error if i LAY or BACK every horse to Odds and Stakes i enter manually. Interestingly though i dont get the error when i just fire in a single bet on one horse when my formulas are in the Odds and Stake columns

Very strange indeed. All bets are on the same market so in theory this error should never be seen. I will add some logging code to record the actual bet request sent to Betfair when this error is returned, that should get to the bottom of it. I'll put up a link to download this version shortly.

I've added the logging code to the pre-release version 1.1.0.63. Download it using the following link (uninstall current version first).

http://www.gruss-software.co.uk/Betting ... _Beta1.msi

I notice you are using the existing pre-release version 1.1.0.63. Did the problem start happening in this version? If it did then I may have found something so don't be surprised if the error does not occur in the latest build. If it does occur then close the program to allow it to finish writing to the log then send me the file named BA_Diagnostic.txt in the folder "c:\temp\Betting Assistant Logs". Please send the log to admin@gruss-software.co.uk

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
