No problem Toma .. Bridgers, the macro won't work if the sheet you put layit's data doesn't have a formula in it as there is nothing to calculate ... the only thing I can think of ? But presumably there must be a formula in the trigger col.

Is there any way to get your current account balance into the excel sheet? It would be good to do this since I have a target to reach every day?

Cheers

LAYIT, when I select the WIN market and show PLACE market option in Bet Trader and select triggered betting in Excel only the Place market is shown in Excel.

This error does not happen in UK racing.

Hi Bridgers, yep sounds like we are doing something similar I have been doing mine for about a month now but I still dont think I have nailed the criteria.....however one thing I will say is that I am making profit over that time which as far as I am concerned is brilliant and something I am not used to experiencing on betfair!!!!!

Still need to iron out a few things but today for example I triggered on 14 races and had 11 winning races (had 2 loses where I have no idea what happened backed a horse at 4.6 when I was after 1.5 so beyond me!!) but I will live with them.

Good luck Bridgers on your quest !

LaYIT, I posted several times today, starting at 16:18, asking questions and trying to help you with Peter Piper's problems, but my posts have gone unanswered. Have I transgressed some rule? I would appreciate it if you could reply, please, even if it is to say you won't be changing anything.

Roc,

There should be a small grey box above the No Market Tab when you load Betting Assistant.....if you click on the grey box it will show you balance. I have not seen this figure displayed in Excel ?

RogerL. Sorry for not replying. I never planned to create a user guide until version 1.0. If you click 'Readme' it tells you briefly about some of the functionality. I will put some example spreadsheets on the site sometime in the next week. I'll see what I can do about setting colours in preferences.

Layit / RogerL,

Thankyou for your help.

The problem was the 120dpi setting. I have reverted to 96dpi and everything is fine.

Much obliged,

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
