trading problem

Postby citroen999 » Fri Jun 26, 2009 12:32 pm

hi

i know the mechanics of trading and what i need to do to achieve profit but putting into practice is doing my head in..

i am trying 1 tick trading and using £2 stakes while i try and get the hang of it..

but where ever i make a trade the market always moves the other way and i make a small loss.. i sometimes make a small profit and am lucky but if i go for a 2nd or 3rd trade it always goes wrong...

any ideas what i am doing wrong?

at the moment i am looking at the ladder and watching the movement and jumping on, do i need to be looking at anything else on the screen to influence my decision

Sounds to me like you're on to a winner - you're just clicking the wrong side of the ladder! :D

Hi citroen999 :)

I know exactly what you mean. I tried trading the horses for weeks and did
nothing but lose money. It seemed almost every time I placed a bet the
market went in the opposite direction!

Like all the other users were just taking my bit of money and sharing it out.
Very frustrating - I actually read all sorts of tips, tricks and manuals. I tried
watching videos from competitors sites but... NOTHING worked!
I even tried placing bets at random, in-play, opposite to what you think,
WOM, etc. I tried studying form, tipsters, forums, etc.
I found a lot of it interesting but of no use to me.

I left off betting for months but always knew there had to be a way?

The turning point came when I threw all the theory out of the window and
decided to do my own thing - clue = something others don't do?

It was also no coincidence that a major part of my forthcoming success
was this GREAT GRUSS SOFTWARE - long may Gary and Mark continue to
develop and enhance it. I have been consistently successful for about the
last 16 months since subscribing to Gruss Betting Assistant - SINCE WEEK ONE!
THANK YOU GARY AND MARK - will buy you both a drink sometime.

Take heart in my story because I know for sure, beyond a reasonable
doubt that a full time income is possible if using the right software,
(GRUSS BETTING ASSISTANT), alongside an absolute correct mindset and
attitude. Patience, dedication, perseverence and determination also.

Of course my technique is mine and I doubt very much I will be letting on
anytime soon to how I make my money but take heart - it is possible.

I realise that this is probably of no practical use to you but you may at
least take some kind of encouragement from it hopefully?

Wishing you all the best - Michael :)

P.S. My last step is to actually try to automate it as much as possible
because I must admit that it can be fairly time consuming. Another great
reason for using this software is the Excel integration which I am finding
hard to get my head around. Time will tell, eh? Ttfn

P.P.S. Having read this through before posting it actually looks like it
would make a nice testimonial - Gary, Mark feel free to us it if it's any good?

That's true. Don't imitate strategies you read somewhere. Those 'famous goldmines' are already exploited completely or sharks are trapping newbies who try these famous strategies (especially true with WOM).

Analyse yourself and think yourself. Try to come away from the mainstream and find your own little profitable niche.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
