Betfair Problem? again

In my case, what I meant was that in Excel when a bet was triggered, the bet ref would appear reasonably quickly (although longer than normal I think) but there was a much longer delay than normal for the P&L to appear in column X. Also, I appeared to get matched at a much lower price than was available when I saw the bet being triggered. However, I put that down to the poor liqiudity of the in-running markets.

When Betfair have API problems I generally find the in-running horse racing liquidity falls and only gradually pulls back up after people have confidence that its working correctly. However, the next few weeks are the worst time of the year for liquidity anyway, so I'm being hit by a double wammy, same as last year.

no activity and can not place bets. Have liability again! Can not trade out.

I've reported it to Betfair. I think it's gone down altogether now (including the website).

Trader also wouldn't place bets because it appears it's a site wide problem, not just the API.

Wow, what is going on with Betfair, I've never known it as bad as it has been the last 11 days. They must have some serious problems, makes you really nervous to be using them at the moment.

One quite interesting thing I've noticed today is that the Flat in-running races are refreshing better than the NH races which seems to indicate to me that the NH races have more people betting in-running and that the numbers are great enough to have an impact on the bet matching engine efficiency. This seems to point to a system which is only just able to cope with the current traffic. Not good news for tomorrow methinks.....

I can't say anything about in running which is definitely your field (among others of course) but the response time (right now at least) are very fast at many markets i believe

Funny if it wasn't tragic.....I was just about to post at how good the upgrade this morning looked. The site was fairly humming along. Five minutes later the whole thing caming crashing to the ground...

Someone at Betfair needs to be kicked out as the hardware system in place simply cannot cope with what its being asked to do......
