Place above win

Postby olisav » Thu Feb 25, 2010 10:46 am

Hi,

I normally drag the horse racing meetings into the quick pick list. On the older versions the win bet is first and then the place bet, however on the new version the place is first in the quick list. I have looked in the preferences and can not find anything that could change this.

Do you know if I have done something wrong or going forward will the place always be first?

Cheers,

Oliver

Sorry, I wasn't aware it was doing this. I think it would be preferable to have win markets first so I will see what I can do to change it.

The reason it has changed is because I have changed the sort routine for the quick pick list to a quicker routine after I noticed a small delay when adding many markets (eg. virtual racing).

It has only ever been sorted by time so it is by chance in previous versions that the win markets came first.

OK,

Would it be possible in the future to have the option if the place or win comes first. At the moment I use a macro, but I find they are not 100% reliable.

I'll add an option to the quick pick settings.

Gary

Is there any chance of also adding an option for just Win or Place markets to be displayed.

See thread http://gruss-software.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4529

Thanks

I've added an option to exclude place markets and to display place markets before or after win markets in version 1.1.0.64z2

Options---->Preferences---->Quick pick list / markets

There's a couple of tick boxes.

You also have to refresh the markets and reload the quick pick list for changes to take effect.

I do not have an option to display place markets before or after win markets in options/ preferences/ quick pick lists.

I am using 1.1.0.64z2, is this because of me previously downloading this version separately for the market tree problem Gary?

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
