Results and MyBets worksheets

Postby ians1711 » Tue Mar 23, 2010 11:56 am

Hi
Trying to understand how the results and mybets worksheets are populated. Using version 1.1.0.62. I have 3 tabs in BA. I want to see the current bets and results from just one of those tabs. If I create a sheet called tab1_MyBets, do I still need the MyBets sheet, or do I have to create MyBets sheets for each tab? There is no option on the Excel Log Prices dialog box to specify where the current bets should go - is that automatic?

Same with the results. Can I split out the results for one tab to go to one worksheet - I see there is the ability to specify which results sheet I log to but is that dependent on each tab being for a different market?

Thanks

You don't need a sheet named MyBets, but you do need a separate sheet for each tab. Assuming your worksheets are named tab1, tab2 and tab3 you need 3 worksheets named tab1_MyBets, tab2_MyBets and tab3_MyBets.

There is no option on the Excel Log Prices dialog box to specify where the current bets should go - is that automatic?

Yes, it's automatic as long as you have named the sheets correctly as explained above.

Same with the results. Can I split out the results for one tab to go to one worksheet - I see there is the ability to specify which results sheet I log to but is that dependent on each tab being for a different market?

You must select a separate results worksheet for each tab. If you choose the same worksheet on different tabs then the results will overwrite each other.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
