Action against Betfair and its monopoly!

Postby madafaka1 » Tue Mar 23, 2010 6:39 pm

with the introduction of yet another batch of charges from Betfair I thought Id let everyone know about a small protest action going on against betfairs monopoly

It would be good if we all could do our tiny little bit to help this movement as healthy competition benefits everyone in the long run!

Looks like a Betdaq affiliate site to me using a flimsy excuse? :(

If this was genuine why not link directly to Betdaq instead of Tradedoubler?

We shall see? New user - first post - I could be wrong?

Ttfn - Michael :)

P.S. I must say this person is a prolific poster. Try Googling his username!
Plenty of different language sites too. Call me sceptical. Will apologise without
reservation if I am wrong?

I agree. I cannot find any evidence that madafaka1 is a Betting Assistant customer which makes it even more suspicious. I have removed the link.

There aren't any. I think they are referring to data request, transaction and premium charges which have been around for a long time.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
