conditional bets

Postby Kingyo » Fri Mar 26, 2010 12:59 pm

Two queries , first the notepad does not appear on horse note's and secondly more important onthe conditional bet's if I place a trigger on the said race I understand if I leave the page the bet will not be struck is iit right that if I open another another page, leaving original page open on the above bar it will be triggered so in theory as long as your conditional bets sit in the above bar they will be triggered Thanks for your time

Hi,

With regards to the horse notes:- Does the name of the horse in the race match exactly the name of the horse in your notes database?

With regards to Conditional bets:- yes you must leave the market open, i.e. if you want to view a different market open a new page.

Regards,
Mark

The lookup is case sensitive so if you entered the name as "mr ed" then this will be a problem. It has to appear exactly as it does on Betfair which was probably "Mr Ed". Could this be the problem?

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
