Downloading Trainer Name Data into Excel

Hi All,

Apologies if this has been asked before.

I am looking to parse the trainer name from Betfair into my Excel bot; alternatively, the functionality to do same using the Laddies website [perhaps in conjunction with the getLivePrices() sub] would also do.

Does anyone have any tips on doing this? I know that Mr. Excel has a "parsing data from Webpages" tutotial that I have the link to; in addition, there is a post on the Punter's Lounge about obtaining data other than the RP Tissue from a URL into Excel.

I am tackling both these potential sources of solution over the coming weeks; however, I would be grateful if other BA users could shed their light/tips/experience on this type of issue.

Hello,

BA has the option to view additonal columns from Betfair when linking to Excel; the trainer being one of them?

The option is in 'Excel/log current prices/additional columns' - just tick the additional columns required

Just wanted to see if you knew about these before the need to extract data elsewhere

Actually in the day job, so don't have BA open; mainly use BA to trade via the ladder interface; however, I'm automating my IR trading - hence the construction of an Excel interface bot.

I'll check BA on my laptop at home this evening.
