What is wrong?

Postby mak » Tue Sep 07, 2010 10:40 am

I just finish a new bot which was working fine. After a restart of my pc i tried to log it to BA but it just open excel without any worksheets! The same happened in my laptop where i just ask to open the file & not log it BA.

With alt + f11 i can see the code & the sheet which are set to visible but not the actual sheets!!

Any ideas how i can solve this?

Does your workbook open ok without linking to BA? If yes open the VBA editor click Debug/Compile VBA project and let us know what happens

No it still doesn't open the sheets

It is like a hide workbook.Even in the excel title it just says book1 instead of horses bot.If i am going to close the file though ask if i want to save changes in horses bot...

As i can see now i "lost" one more workbook

I think it has something to do with "link multiple sheets quick link" because what i did in first place it was to made new links for this 2 workbooks

Gary any ideas?

From what you are saying something is not visible in your workbook even before you link to BA. Is this correct? If so then it cannot be BA that caused this. Does BA have a problem linking to new blank workbooks? If you can get this to work then it might be an idea to create a new workbook and copy your formulas and VBA into the new workbook and see if this solves the problem.

If BA is not finding workbooks then make sure they are all in the same folder if you are using multiple workbooks. Also try closing all instances of Excel, check if there are still instances running in the background using the task manager, end the processes then start again.

I've had exactly the same problem with a workbook recently.

Try Window -> Unhide .... I think you will find that you have the window hidden.

This also happened to me after using the "log multiple sheets quick link" so perhaps there is a bug ??

I'll look into it, but I think it's unlikely to be bug. BA doesn't make any calls that hide windows/worksheets in Excel.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
