Daily Football Match Odds

Postby andak fedal » Mon Oct 25, 2010 9:32 pm

After trialling this great program but unfortunately not having any great strategies to use, I'm back to trial again and this time gruss can help lots I think!

What I'd like to be able to do to speed up my betting is to have a list in excel that displays all the current days English football along with best match odds.

It would be great if I could have these in a consecutive list maybe a gap after each league, so it would be easy to copy and paste my selections and stakes and make use of the triggered betting functionality.

Could anyone tell me how easy this would be to do and if poss even point me in the right direction please? I am pretty good with excel and have some coding experience although not done a lot with macros.

The only other thing to mention is that the odds I want are prematch and so a superfast refresh rate (and charges) is not required.

Thanks v much!

I have now discovered that by selecting Market->match odds it showes the days footy but not just english matches.

I bet on every english league match and rather than loading up all the markets I would like to see them all listed each on only one row if possible and write my selection as well as BACK and the stake and odds etc

Is this possible and would it require something completely bespoke to achieve or can I do this using gruss's functionality?

Thanks

Is there any way I can just feed gruss with a list in excel like below and get it to go through the matches and find the team and put the bet on at the match odds and stake specified or does the sheet need all the extra info? Not quite sure how i'd tell it to back the draw, even if this did work??

Selection Trigger Odds Stake
Man Utd Back 1.3 10.00
Millweall Back 1.6 7.00
Leeds v Hull (Draw) Back 3.5 4.00

Really appreciate it if someone can direct me a little with this - cheers!

This link http://www.gruss-software.co.uk/Betting ... p/help.htm

Select ..
Using Excel
Sample Spreadsheets
Place Bets.xls

The sample spreadsheet allows you to list certain selections with a range of odds and stake and if they're met will place a bet

The only thing I think you need to consider is getting the correct naming convention for your football odds. If you get stuck reply here and we can try and help

Many thanks for your helpful reply osknows...

I unsderstand this example and feel I could easily convert but the only things I'm unsure of is how the first sheet would upload the football markets. The horse races happen one after another and the football odds would need to flick through all the markets pre-match...

I think I just need to select Market->Match Odds and then have my selections in sheet 2 (please correct me if I'm wrong).

I'm still a bit unsure howe I would tell it to back the draw in a game though so any advice or examples for this would be great!

Ah I see what you mean now... I'm almost certain that's not possible...yet. You're looking for the ultimate solution where BA finds your market automatically. I'm sure this isn't yet possible

You could pre-load the markets you need manually and if certain conditions are met then place bets. The placing bets on conditions can be automated but selection of markets is not possible yet unless someone proves me wrong..?

Yes that's excactly what I need to do.

I'm surprised there's no way of doing this given the functionality there is and since all the info is there but thanks for confirming anyway.

If anyone does know of a way I might be able to achieve this please let me know!

Thanks again.

How many markets are you looking to trade in? For example if it's 1 - 20 markets then it's really easy just to select them manually in a single spreadsheet a few days out and have a monitor sheet to trade when desired conditions are met.

The difficulty currently is identifying and selecting markets from potentially thousands of active markets

I just want to bet on every English football league game (40+ on saturdays). I have a program that lists who I should bet on and how much I should stake and was hoping to load in to excel and BA and have it make all these bets so I didn't have to do it manually.

It sounds like it might not be possible BUT the market->coupons->match odds looks like it would display all these markets and that of other countries too, so maybe I could have my list in sheet 2 and it would be able to find the relevant markets and selections from this and make each of the bets in the market->coupons->match odds spreadsheet? Any idea if this sounds feasible?

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
