Flash Last traded Price

Postby chaser » Tue Nov 16, 2010 9:40 am

Hi Gary / Mark
Following the recent update, I decided to select 'Flash Last Traded Price' from Options-Preferences-Grid Interface.
This does not take effect, in fact the Grid interface freezes with the message 'Market Loading'
Am I doing something wrong or is there a glitch.
regards

The API just had a wobble. Are you sure it wasn't just that? Try it again.

Hi Gary
My version is 1.1.0.66x31 beta
In the grid preferences list, the only one I have always had ticked is 'highlight top 3 favourites'.
I have just tried ticking another preference to try it i.e. '3d effect',this also causes the grid interface to freeze.
I can of course load the ladder interface, but if I switch back to the grid interface, the screen has frozen with the message 'Market Loading'.
The only way I can get the grid functioning is to close down and re-open Betting Assistant.
When I then look at the grid preferences list, the tick has disappeared, except for my original one 'highlight top 3 favourites'

Can you confirm at what point exactly does "Market loading" appear? Are you saying you are already viewing the market, change preferences then this message appears or do you change preferences then select another market and it gets stuck at this stage?

It may also help if you can send the diagnostic log to admin@gruss-software.co.uk

Please send the files named BA_Diagnostic.txt, Thread_Exception.txt and Unhandled_Exception.txt from the folder named c:\temp\Betting Assistant Logs

Another thing you can try is to delete the settings folder so it becomes a fresh installation. I produced a utility to do this for you. Just run http://www.gruss-software.co.uk/Betting ... ttings.exe
You will then need to re-enter your preferences.

Hi Gary
I decided to try your last suggestion first! and deleted the settings folder with the utility you gave me.
This has solved the problem.
Thanks very much for your prompt reply.
best wishes

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
