Trigger?

Postby mak » Wed Dec 08, 2010 7:30 pm

I don't think that there is but i would like to ask
is there a trigger to submit a tick offset bet, but not to exactly auto level profit,

for example

if i back 10€ at odds 4 and the selection goes at 1.5 to lay it for 20€ so if selection win, wins 19€ and if it lose wins 9€

edit:

if i back 10€ at odds 4 and the selection goes at 1.5 to lay it for 20€ so if selection win, wins 19€ and if it lose wins 9€ at all selections

As you suggest I dont think you can do that using one simple trigger command but it would be a nice option to add, if Gary is watching :)

Surely you can set this up using the Conditional Bets feature

i don't think that it can be set up conditional bets, nevertheless i would prefer it as an excel trigger.

Gary?

I'm not adding any more features to the Beta version before it is promoted to the official version. I am aiming to promote it in January.

I have started on the Beta version after that, but it's in the middle of a big code change at the moment so I cannot add anything quickly to it. I won't be able to look at this request until the new year I'm afraid. I presume I would just need to provide an option to specify a percentage for the selection you are betting on which would be 75% in your example.

ps. in your example shouldn't the profit be €20 if wins and €10 if loses?

I am still working on the code change I mentioned. You can be sure it will be top of the list after I have completed this, if only to stop you suggesting it

We did mean January 2011 however as is always the case other stuff has cropped up and we behind schedule so it is looking more like Jan 2012!
We will get the work done as quickly as is possible.

I am working on this right now. The code is in place, but I am just tweaking the calculations.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
