As I said in another thread, Betfair are becoming a complete joke....

The should return to be an exchange and do the job properly

In order to be as money grabbing as possible they're trying to be all things to all men rather than doing what they set out to do at the start - to be an exchange. They've weighed down their site with sh1t like casinos, games and other bollox. Its time they had a change of management to remove some of the fuckwits at the top.

Trouble, with the "Betdaq" there is not enough "liquidity" for "In-Running" players; it absolutely fine if you are straight "layer" or "backer".

In play tennis laying with stops. Will need to take a look at volumes. They should be concerned now as they won't be earning.

It amazes me that they have the nerve to take thousands of pounds from traders with the premium charge yet they leave them so vulnerable to exposed positions that become impossible to close with these repeated problems.

Ended up costing me £229 on the 14.25 as I couldn't close out positions.

Unfortunately only made £45 the rest of the day, as I certainly wasn't going to put anymore money through in case BF went down again.

Overall, the lost is pretty insignifcant £184 or so in the grand scheme of things. In fact, with other stuff this week I should still end up with a small profit.

They really should void bets on markets where you can't access them. It's just not cricket !! - in fact it is pretty immoral really. I don't mind foregoing any profits in situations like this - in fact the 2nd horse which only lost by a neck would have won me £100. I would have willingly given this up, had the situation been different.

Obviously, the fact that they can still claim their commission from the winners in such events is really all they are bothered about.

Anybody had any really big losses - just to make me feel not so bad about it all !!

Good luck to all those that won by the way.

I would have lost loads if the first goal hadn't been so early in the Stoke match. Phew, lucky escape.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
