Level Profit

Postby iceman » Sat Apr 16, 2011 8:53 am

Hi, I use Gary's code for greenup and it works fine.
I saw some differences from Level Profit in BA Grid and P&L column in the code. I mean, if I look at Level Profit column sometimes I can seen a greenUp possibility that is not rapresented by P&L.
Consequently, if I check P&L column for greeningUp I can't get the same possibility of Level profit in BA Grid.
Any suggestions?

Thanks anyway

There are two ways of calculating level profit. The grid has two possibilities and the green up spreadsheet only uses one of those.

To see the same level profit on the grid as in Excel you need to tick "Level profit based on individual selection" in grid preferences. It will then use the same formula.

See http://www.gruss-software.co.uk/forum/v ... php?t=3444 for details on how it is calculated on the grid without the above option ticked.

Hi Gary,

"Level profit based on individual selection" in grid preferences was just ticked, when I saw the differences.
When the Level Profit in the grid shows an all green, the P&L column shows positive and negative values, and in particular there are differences on opened positions.
I don't know if its a problem of refresh rate...
The GreenUp works fine, ad close all positions with an all-red/green, but it's not possible to check the P&L column for close alla positions when there is a potential all-green.
When the all-green is fired before close all positions, the P&L show's the same of Level Profit and Profit column in excel.

Thanks

Can you send a screenshot of an example where there is a difference to admin@gruss-software.co.uk and include the list of bets in the bets manager in the screenshot so I can calculate your position. I can then attempt to explain the difference.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
