It's the time elapsed from the moment before the request is sent to the API to the moment is has actually updated the display.

There is also a green line which is normally obscured by the pale blue line. The green line is the time elapsed from the moment before the request is sent to the moment after it is received but before the display is updated (the figure you see in brackets after the actual refresh). Therefore if the pale blue line represents a much longer time than the green line it can indicate that the application is struggling for some reason.

Thanks Gary
The last few days (especially) I can "see" a few spikes in the light blue line.
I have set it up to 0.2 rate, and the it goes around 100-150, mostly when there is a race with many runners at the final stages...
Do you believe that this is a "normal" behavior?

Is the green line also showing but at a lower value or is it obscured by the blue line? If there isn't a gap between the two then all it is telling you is that the response times from Betfair spiked. I don't think it's anything out of the ordinary.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
