It'll only change when Betfair get rid of their greed based management

Following the last couple of BA updates, when Betfair is down BA is totally unresponsive to the point you can't even see the page and the whole PC seems to grind to a halt. In previous versions with Betfair down you could still click between desktop tabs with no problem of BA hanging etc...then when the API came back online BA just carried on as normal.

Anyone else getting a similar problem?

Please note their sh1t Exchange Games still seems to be up and running !!

A sign of the times. Perhaps they should get rid of their exchange altogether and concentrate on the sort of sh1t they appear to be more interested in

Shouldn't be doing that. I will investigate.

If it's any help, I think it maybe down to the AUS server.
When BA went down I had tabs with both UK & AUS markets open.
When both the AUS & UK servers went down BA just hanged.
However when the AUS server came back online the UK server was still down but this caused BA to operate normally until the AUS server went down again. Hope this makes sense.

I did add separate time outs for the AUS server a few versions back so it may well be something to do with the AUS server. I will investigate.

The freezing problem when the API goes down should be solved in version 1.1.0.66x73.

Thanks Gary

also....

12. Fixed bug where “Exclude horse racing place markets” in quick pick preferences also excluded Greyhounds place markets.

I was using this option to exclude both Horse & Greyhound place markets, but I presume now in 1.1.0.66x73 only horse place markets are excluded?

Would it be possible to please add another option to also exclude Greyhound place markets, as I bet only in Horse & Greyhound Win markets.

Thanks
Castillo

No, still I don't have access in both - site and API -

Your site was also unavailable for half an hour or more few minutes ago.
Other sites were ok.

I'll check it later .

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
