After searching the forum i think i have my answer the trigger should be LAYSP and in the stake column i could have a liability of $50 if i don't have a max price in the odds column it would Lay all selected runners at SP and work out my stake for me, correct?

Hi,

Yes the trigger is LAYSP but you must specify the maximum odds that you are prepared to accept and you put this in the odds trigger column. The bet must have a minimum liability of 10 GBP or equivelant currency for it to be accepted by Betfair.

The LAYSP trigger only submits an SP bet for the selection that you have chosen.

Mark

Yes put 1000 if you are not bothered about setting a limit

Hi Mark,
Is this definitely correct? I've been using LAYSP yesterday, entering both a stake and odds, but on some occasions the SP has been above my entered odds, but the bet is still placed.
e.g. My Learned Friend, Brighton, 15.30. I entered odds of 9.71, stake 87.1, at LAYSP, but was matched at 9.924.
I thought 9.71 would be the max possible?

Ignore the above. Not quite sure what is happening, but I don't think it's to do with the API.

Looks like my spreadsheet not quite recording the max odds I'm setting at the same time as the bet is placed.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
