Problems loading up the quick pick list in BA for Betdaq

Postby Drunkenight » Tue May 31, 2011 11:46 pm

I have had problems all day loading up the quick pick for UK and for US horse racing in BA for Betdaq. It either doesn't load any of the markets up into the quick pick list or it loads them and the markets appear to be suspended.

Is anyone else having problems?

Sounds like it could be an API issue. I haven't released an update for quite a while. Let me know if it persists today.

Just been testing my code. The API looks screwed. I have reported it to Betdaq.

I'm now sure it's got to be a problem at Betdaq's end. I know that a competitor product is also having issues. It cannot be a coincidence. The problem is getting Betdaq to admit it. I couldn't get them to admit it last time and it was about a week before they realised there was a problem and fixed it. They still didn't admit they changed anything after that.

They were aware of the issue yesterday. They say it is resolved and I just tried it again and it appears to be ok. Is it working for you?

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
