Download their 3 month free trial of Office from Microsoft. At the moment I think they have an offer of £79 for Excel.....

I would go for the home and student version of office 2007, currently £69.95 at PC World.

Well worth it for the latest version of excel in my opinion.

Just to let you know, that version does not have Access.

I know you only wanted Excel but I thought I'd mention it.

Have just downloaded Office 2010 trial version, has got me up and running, as I only had Open Office, which seems not to be an option to interface with BA; Am very happy with the suggestion from Doris-Day - cheers!! Will likely buy Home and Student when trial time is up, as only want Excel. Also happy to have such a wealth of knowledge and info to be able to trawl through on the forum!

In the uk, if you're a student with an email address ending .ac.uk you can get office 2010 full on bells and whistles edition for 40quid, usually a few hundred. I did an ou course and got it. It's official through microsoft, they may do something similar in other countries

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
