Postby doris_day » Fri Jul 15, 2011 1:58 pm

I double clicked my icon as usual and get a message which sayd the app is out of date and I need to install the latest Beta (V63) but the link sends me to a page which doesnt exist.

Where can I download ?

Thanks for that. Another problem has arisen however in that I can't appear to remove the older version. It doesnt have an Uninstall and it doesn't appear in the Add/Remove Prog list anywhere. Any ideas ?

No idea why that would happen. You could try using the Microsoft msi removal tool. You can install it from the following link.

Are you sure? It's Betting Assistant for Betdaq in the list.

Are you still able to launch the program? I know you will get the message that it needs updating, but at least if it's still there I can send you a pm with a link to the executable and you can replace the existing one.

Sadly not as in my attempt to remove it I decided to remove the folder and deleted that. Sorry

When you try and install it you are getting an error message that it's already installed?

I'd prefer not to unless there's information I can't give you

Sorry I'm out of ideas. The only thing left to suggest is to do a system restore to a time when it appeared in add/remove programs or if you are brave use the registry editor to find "Betting Assistant for Betdaq" and delete any entries you find.

I've looked in the registry in the 'Software' folder and cant find it anywhere. This is one of the problems with having an app that doesnt have an Uninstall. I'll just have to put in on another computer which is a bit of a pain.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
