Greening up

Postby johnnic » Fri Jul 29, 2011 1:59 am

I feel like I've missed something fairly obvious here, but I can't work it out.

I want to place a back bet and then, later, green out. Pretty simple in concept and the first part is self evident, ie IF(entry conditions are met, "BACK","").

How do I now write the exit statement? IF(exit conditions are met,"LAY" with greening,"")

Perhaps I didn't phrase my question well. I am not asking for programming help, simply asking if there is anything within BA that allows one to close out an open bet with greening?

Sorry there aren't any triggers for greening although they are planned for a future release. There is a sample spreadsheet which does the calculations so that you can use the appropriate stake with the normal triggers. See http://www.gruss-software.co.uk/forum/v ... php?t=4659

I've just been playing around with this sheet. It's great!

I would like the sheet to be able to level loss too as well as green up.

I don't suppose anyone could give me an idea of how I mght do this please?

In fact I think it may have just triggered for a level loss... unfortunately that runner didn't actually win and consequently my liability on the one that won was huge!

What I think I need is a level loss across all runners.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
