Anyone else notice how sticky the API is today during in-play horse racing ?

Not only today. Especially from the middle of the race to the end the refresh rate goes down to about half. Very disturbing.
I am an international user.

That's partially because you're going through Malta which slows international users up.

My bots aren't performing good today but I am on vacation and I can't connect to my vps with fast connection (using dongle).Having said that Malta is the problem for international users with bet placement.Refreshes are the same for all users...(Gary clarified this to me a few months ago)

Today is just like yesterday with the API running in a very haphazard way during in-play horse racing. Take care.

mak, at the moment we have a double whammy in that not only is the API crap but the in-play liquidity has fallen as people take holidays :(

Back at home :(
I am watching the actual refresh time which is between 200-290ms (set it at 0.2) The problem is that in the brackets i get 35-39ms when usually i get 20-25ms. Any other users can check and reply please?

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
