Goodmorning all
I am trying a laying system with Greyhound Bugs only and I would like to know if someone have the knowledge...

I am trying this system based on a kind of form, for the last few days.I know that is very early days, but the "quality" of the greyhounds bugs which running now (August for example), is it lower than other periods of the year or in general remains the same?

thanks

Bugs should = Bags (British Afternoon Greyhound Service)

My own feeling is that Bags meetings are to be avoided because trainers stop and start their dogs as they please. I owned dogs once and know how easy it is for trainers to do this. Prize money is very poor in the UK and so trainers have to bet to make it pay.

There may be some mileage in seeing how the betting market is taking money for the few minutes before the off but otherwise I'm not sure if form has much to do with anything, if that's what you're using. Bags races are graded (used to be A1 (best) to A9 (worst)) and perhaps during the summer they run lower grades. I'm not sure

Bugs should = (British Unpredictable Greyhound Service) :D

Doris, thanks for the inside, I am almost certain that form & Greyhounds aren't relative...Unfortunatelly today i have lay based in good form 3 out of 4 winners..!!

Yesterday for example won only 3 out of 26 selections with av.price 4.2
and the day before 1 out of 35 !!

The key to greyhound betting is finding the dog which will get a clear run from the traps to the first bend and has enough early pace to use it. You can't get this information by looking at the form in the newspaper or online - you need to view previous races on dvd. In the UK, dvd's are hard to get, as a number of BAGS tracks won't supply them. Nearly all races are available online and free in Ireland.

To answer your original question, overall the quality of dogs is better during the summer, as some of the better dogs in kennels will be "put away" for the winter so as not to have to run on ground will salt in, which prevents freezing.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
