Q2 trigger -5

Postby Daywalker » Sat Sep 03, 2011 10:33 am

hi
Help. When using -5 trigger in Q2 with BA4BetDaq nothing happens. I can successfully use -1 and -3 triggers.

p.s. it's after using -3 that it wont work. if a market is already highlighted in quick pick list, -5 will select the first.

What version are you using? It appears to work here. Are you sure it's not your code? I am assumg you are using VBA. What happens if you do the following manual procedure while linked to a worksheet?

1. Select any market other than the first.

2. Enter -3 in Q2.

3. Enter -5 in Q2.

The quick pick list should be reloaded, but even though no market is highlighted it should still select the first market.

version 1.0.7.3
yes i am using vba but i've tried it manually

if i select any other market in the qpl, then -3, then -5, it works.

if i clear qpl, then -3, then -5, it doesn't work.

this came to light when testing a new bot. i set it running in the morning and when i got home it hadn't moved from the first race. if i disable the part of my code that does -3/-5 and manually select the first race, it will run ok, with -1 taking it to the next race.
The portion of code i am using for this is copied straight from my code that runs ok with ba4bf.
the problem it causes is that when it comes to enter -1 to select the second race, it actually selects the first, but as the code only inserts -1 for one refresh (to avoid double jumping the markets) it stays with the first race.

I can replicate the issue, but only if the first market in the list is the market that is actually open at the time. Normally when refreshing the quick pick list it would be after the first market in the list is no longer available.

ie. select first market in list, clear list, use -3 then -5. The problem then occurs. I have fixed this particular issue. Please uninstall and re-install version 1.0.7.4 from the following link. Please let me know if this solves the problem.

I,ve set it running so will let you know if there's any problem.

Thanks Gary

p.s. I know you dont charge for BA4BD but have you considered adding a 'donate' function? I'm using the software more and your response to any queries is excellent, seems right you should get something for it, even if it's just a few donations.

We never planned to keep it free indefinitely so we want the option of going subcription based. We think it will be easier to do this if it isn't donation based as that implies it will always be free.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
