Slow response for AUS / NZL horse races

Greetings from Toronto!

Last few days the response (price refresh, market loading etc) has been very slow for Australian & NZL horse races.

With refresh rate set to 1 second, responses are varying from about 1 second up to 60 seconds - occasionally longer practically freezing.

Doesn't matter if exporting to excel or not.

Using the latest BA version.

Response for UK, RSA, US races are fine (at the same time as the slow response is occurring in AUS & NZL races).

Is this a BA issue or something to do with the Betfair API?

More than likely it is Betfair's API. The Australian markets are all served by a different server which is located in Australia. The other markets are served from Ireland.

Betfair sent some diagnostic test reports form my computer (tracert and pingpath) to their network team in Australia. They just replied back that my slow response time is due to some packet loss en route to Betfair but they couldn't do anything about that.

Meantime, the response time suddenly went back to normal a few days ago.

There was probably a temporary problem with an internet router somewhere between you and Betfair
