Uninstalling BA

Postby alrodopial » Fri Feb 24, 2012 8:26 pm

There is a link that uninstalls BA ( not from control panel )

I have problems with latest (.83) version and using the control panel doesnt solve the problem.
Can someone post the link?

For me in v.83:

Under pref/quick pick list you change something eg. tick uk win markets, press ok and you get the message: the new proxy server settings will be ... etc
Under log multiple sheets quick link,by pressing additional columns you get the same options like pressing the quick pick markets (not able to log sp etc)
MarketDepth is not working

The proxy settings message was a bug which is now fixed. Try the following.

1. Uninstall from control panel.

2. Remove the COM references from the registry using the following program (possibly the link you were thinking of).
http://www.gruss-software.co.uk/Betting ... gistry.exe

3. Re-install from http://www.gruss-software.co.uk/Betting ... _Beta2.msi

The proxy message disappeared but the others remain
I'm trying for two hours to make it work but with no success.
Sometimes some things are working ,after a while the same things are not etc. It's a mess

If I go back to a previous days registry settings will it make any difference?

Could be prolems with the settings file. Try the following.

1. Select "Open settings folder" from options menu.

2. Close Betting Assistant.

3. Delete the file name user.config from the folder opened in step 1.

4. Use the following utility to delete the settings file from the older BA version.
http://www.gruss-software.co.uk/Betting ... ttings.exe

5. Re-start BA.

No luck Gary
eg.
With v.82 and v.83 I'm testing the getMarketDepthExample_Async file
I choose a profile and log a race, it is working
I choose another profile and log the same race, it is not working - it takes 3 secs for update instead of 1sec and no data are stored (only the sp) - macros are delaying it and not working-
In v.83 I load a profile that logs the sp (if I choose the log multiple sheets quick link -I know it from v.82) and the logging of sp has been disappear and I can't choose it again since it has been disappeared and from the log multiple sheets quick link option/additional columns

http://www.freeimagehosting.net/q2hds
It comes back if I install v.82

Usually if I change the race - while logging to "async" file - the macros stop working, if I select the original race macros are working again - it keeps in memory only the first race? -
Othertimes it is working ok, etc
As I said I don't understand it

I also have strange problems (non logical) if I change the code of the file , these are complicated to be explained, maybe later

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
