To answer your original question.
Is there anyway to know that the My_bets sheet has been updated before firing in a new bet?

If there is an entry in MyBets with status F you must also check there isn't also an entry with status U.

Yeah, it is checking to see if the unmatched amount is zero (ie no unmatched bets outstanding) before it will fire a new bet.

It's checking this on the trigger sheet from what you've said. At this point MyBets can be behind so if you are getting the remaining stake from MyBets I also recommend checking that there no status U bets at the same time.

Yeah it checks My_Bets sheet to see there are no U bets, ie unmatched bets = 0.

It's impossible for the matched amount to change if there are no more unmatched bets. This would mean it's actually wrong in the bets manager in the BA application itself.

Would it be possible to send us a spreadsheet containing the formulas/VBA that does this check?

No worries Gary, think I've sorted it now, have put a delay in to allow My_bets to fully update itself, seems to be ok now, thanks for the help.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
