Postby Shaun » Mon Aug 13, 2012 4:16 am

I just need to know what the indicator is on the sheet that the bet was placed at SP so i can configure a lay bet if needed.

When the bet has been placed the average matched odds and matched stake will be none zero (columns V and W).

I just need to get this right before using this trigger.

If i place a BACKSP bet at say 1minute before the off time is it sent to this system when the bet is placed?

So if i put in a CLEAR trigger at say 5 seconds before the off in readiness for a LAY trigger my SP bet is still active and when the race goes in play i will know at what price i have my SP backed at?

Then i can place a LAY bet in play to try and green up.

It is placed at the time it is triggered, and will still be matched after you use CLEAR. The only problem is that because CLEAR removes the bet ref from column T it will no longer display the matched odds and stake because there is no bet ref in column T to look up.

At what price do you want to lay to green up? Is it a number of ticks below the back odds? If it is then you can use a trigger to do this for you, eg. BACKSP-TL5 to lay and green up 5 ticks below.

That is not exactly a greenup, it would be profit if it won but even if it lost, i would need to place a higher lay bet at a lower price to green.

At what point does the SP bet show up in the P/L column?

I guess just after the race has started and the BFSP price is known

Just after the race has started when it is matched.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
