Account Balance Updates inaccurate

Postby Joe68 » Fri Feb 15, 2013 1:44 am

I get inaccurate account balance figures in both the BA program and in Excel when using price logging/triggered betting.

The behaviour is like this -
1. Open program, correct balance displayed.
2. Triggered betting event occurs and is settled
3. The new balance is not shown in either BA or the logging spreadsheets
4. Click on "Account Balance" in BA
5. Correct, updated balance is displayed in BA
6. Correct, updated balance is displayed in only 1 logging spreadsheet - the one attached to whichever page I had open in BA
7. Incorrect, old balance is displayed in every other workbook and worksheet in Excel

Ideally, I want to code dynamic staking based on the correct, current balance, but that's tricky when it doesn't seem to be passed effectively to Excel and I have to manually intervene to update the BA interface.

Am I missing a tick box somewhere - like "Update account balance with every refresh"? or similar. Can't seem to find anything.

I think this might help, try changing the balance refresh rate under

Options>Preferences>General

It's set to zero by default, so will only update when you either click on balance or change market.

Thanks very much Graham, but I don't see that setting in the General Preferences page.

I see only three numeric settings - Default Refresh Rate, hours of chart history and tab width.

I'm in the correct place, right? Have looked and looked.

Using ver 1.1.0.65z9c

It's immediately under default refresh rate on ver 1.1.0.66x84, the version I am on, perhaps it isn't on the version you are using. Possibly try that version? Sorry if I've sent you looking for something that's not there!

Sweet, will try that out. Thanks for letting me know your version as that particular setting has hit the twilight zone on the version I'm using.

Download version 1.1.0.66x84

Postby Joe68 » Tue Oct 01, 2013 12:05 pm

So I need version 1.1.0.66x84 and have 1.1.0.65z9c

I just downloaded what should be the latest version and it is the same as I have had for at least 10 months.

Where can I download version 1.1.0.66x84?

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
