Peculiar REQ values......

Postby llama » Tue Apr 02, 2013 6:04 pm

I don't suppose anyone else is getting the problem that AFTER a horse race has finished, and with my refresh rate set to 10, the Req up at the top right is still showing 10. Which in itself is rather odd, since even during the race my refresh rate is 0.2 which equates to a maximum Req of 5.

My refresh rate is controlled by the standard Excel Sheet.

It calms down a little after a few minutes down to 5....Then after a few more minutes down to 2.....Even though Betfair have closed the market for some time.

I have screen prints as evidence to show my refresh rate as 10 with the number of REQ as 2......

Could this just be a display problem, or are these requests really happening with the market closed.....? I regularly get a Data Request report from BDP Betfair and just recently, my daily usage seems to be much higher than usual......

Hi llama, any luck on this so far? You might want to post your screen shots just for everyone to have a visual view with your issue.

I like to think this is just a "Display" problem......

After about 15 to 20 minutes, without anything having changed, the Req goes back to the expected 0.

At the end of the day, Betfair are not charging me any "Data Charges", so until that happens, I am not "Losing Any Sleep"......

Thanks for your "Concern"......

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
