marketdepth

Postby alrodopial » Wed Jun 26, 2013 10:42 am

I want to get the traded volume at each odd for all the runners.

I already use the "ba.getMarketDepth False" and the "ba_getMarketDepthComplete" but i don't know if i can get and how the traded volume from this marketdeph object. I don't know if there is any available property. Any help Garry?

Or do I have to use the "getAllTradedVolume"?

I have seen it, I want to know if I can get it with the marketdepth that I'm already using.
Thanks anyway,

Gary?

Sorry, I misunderstood what you wanted.
I don't think you can use the market depth function to do what you want and you'll have to use the traded volume one.

The getMarketDepth is purely for prices being offered and is not meant to represent what has actually been traded. getAllTradedVolume has the data you want. There isn't a single API call that combines these two calls.

The getMarketDepth and getAllTradedVolume make their own API calls or do they get the data from BA?

I haven't done a search but I recall a thread where Gary said that they result in API calls and are not included in the throttling calculations so you have to be careful not to call them too often.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
