Keep offset SP

Postby spindlefish » Fri Aug 02, 2013 3:08 pm

I've tried using this function several times today, but my offset bets just get cancelled at the off. It happened on the greyhounds and the same just happened when I tried it on a horse race.

I've tried again and the offset bets are still not getting matched at BFSP - does anyone else have this problem or is it just me?

After the offset bet was placed I made sure that the BFSP box in Bets Manager was checked, and on the BF website it was showing as 'Take SP', but these bets are simply not getting matched at BFSP.

Are your bets above the minimum staking amounts for BSP. Anything lower than £2 for back bets or £10 liability for lay bets (check the exchange rates if you're not betting in £'s) won't get included into the BSP reconciliation process.

That might explain it - even if my original bet was say £20, that bet might might have been accepted in dribs and drabs, thus leaving the offset bets below the threshold for BSFP.

Thanks for your reply, Captain.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
