Hi,

You tried to use an keep In play modifier for a market that was being turned in play by Betfair.

Regards,
Mark

Its happened again !!!

Excel running fine then all of a sudden invaild_persistance appears out of the blue

I have not changed trigger its always been BACK-SP - strange

Just a thought if the wifi signal dropped out what result would be shown for a BACK-SP trigger ??

Which market did this happen on?

If the WIFI signal drops and the bet request times out it will attempt to update the ref by comparing the current list of bets on the market to the previous successful update on the next successful update and use the newest ref it sees for the selection. If this isn't successful then it will log ERROR_LOGGING_REF.

Thats a couple of days running now I have had invaild_persistance and I have noticed Excel can run fine but once I have invaild_persistance then the programme does not run correctly

I have noticed that on the following races when I place a bet manually using BA I do not get the option to place at SP or Keep in play etc (i.e. the 4 boxes that appear in the bottom left hand corner disappear)

It's a close everything down and try again to fix - Does anyone know of the proper fix for this ??

Also, I am intrigued as to mithcd's comments that this was a bug that was fixed in ver 1.1.0.65z4 - How did this show itself in that version, what was the reason and what was the fix ?? - I am using 1.1.0.66x85e

Finally, I checked the excel error log and it has a statement System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMExeption ......... message filter application is busy or something HRESULT ...........

Can anyone enlighten me on what this is all about please ??

SP betting is not available on all markets. Which markets did you have this problem on?

Like Gary says not all races have BSP available, BSP will only show manually if you can bet BSP on that race so if it doesn't show there's no BSP on that race. Things like6 the Arab races, some of the smaller US and AUS tracks don't have it either.

The BSP indicator is sent to excel in cell I1 so you can always use that to either not bet on the race or have that change your trigger from LAY-SP to LAY or whatever

It was on Greyhound racing and normally works ok (my system might not work !!! but the trigger betting does, is what I mean)

It worked today i.e it placed a bet at SP if my request wasn't matched earlier

Bizarre I will monitor

Not all greyhound tracks have BSP betting especially some of the smaller night ones, you need to check cell I1 to be sure it's a bsp market

Good thinking Captain I have added a line in the trigger to state $I$1="Y"

Hopefully that does the trick

Cheers

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
