Really like this software.

Only problem is when I try for hgher figures say £10 on a horse at 5.6 I get a message about it being over 20, then im not allowed to place teh bet.

Any idea what that is ?

This happens because there's a liability max to protect the trader of making a mess. If you what to change that you go to the Excel file and preferences sheet and change the value.

Great! I'll be waiting for your posts because there're many things we could do to improve the Ladder.

Thanks. :P

Always on Top

Postby glider » Tue Jun 20, 2006 2:14 pm

Hi

If there is any way of making the bLadDer "Always on top" it would stop me losing it every now and then when inadvertantly switching windows.

Mainly It's the nett button. when i press it i assume a figure should appear in the box next to it. I have tried it as is but it still enters the last amount selected as my stake.
The follow on from that is that it isnt clear how much of the total stake has been matched, as highlighted in the bet trader window, thats where i get the nett figure from and enter that.

Also a 'Cancel' button in the Bladder would be nice :D

Thanks again to all with their work on this project.

Go to the first post of this topic and download the Ladder. Then on BA go to Excel and Log current prices. You do all this with Excel open. You'll see the ladder then.

screen refresh

Postby D Splash » Sat Jul 29, 2006 2:48 pm

Is there any way to stop excel refreshing the whole screen, and have it refresh the values on their own ?

I hope this isn't a dense question. But how do you select the market you want to trade on?
All I get is G Dott v P Ebdon in the snooker, with no apparant way to change the market. This is the first i've seen of the bet ladder.
Thanks.

Fred
Use the 'Excel' tab in the BA program, and select 'Log Current Prices' then check the 'Enable triggered betting', that will start it updating.
Select your markets in the normal way using the BA program.

Hope that helps

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
