Multiple sound alerts

Postby N Counter » Sat Nov 23, 2013 9:55 pm

Can anyone shed some light on why the following happens?

I often have the same market open on three different tabs. They are all set at the same refresh rate so I'm expecting all three to share the refresh data. It's for this reason that I don't understand why I get three sound alerts when the market is suspended. It's not the end of the world but it's a bit annoying. Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

Even if they have the same refresh rate of let's say 2 seconds: One tab may
refresh at seconds 11, 13, 15 the other at 12, 14, 16. I don't think tabs are
programmed to consider each other because they normally show different
markets.

Thanks milfor.

My understanding is that staggerring is the case when the markets are different. I think I remember there being an update whereby multiple tabs on the same market share data to restrict data requests.

Hi Gary/Mark.

Can you tell me if this is normal or whether maybe I need to change something in settings.

Thanks.

Hi,

They do share the same data requests when the same market is opened in multiple tabs but they are separate objects and each has its own sound alert.
I will let Gary confirm exactly how it is coded.

Regards,
Mark

Thanks Mark. The coding won't mean anything to me. I just wanted to know if it was easily remedied.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
