Yes, I'm a Fracsoft Swarm user and its a nice piece of kit although its no faster than BA in getting bets on.
As far as the historic data is concerned you can export to file which can be read by Excel but you can't export 'live' data from Swarm, nor can you set up triggers, unless you give your algorithm info to Alan or Tim for them to build you a custom trigger. And if you did that you'd be mad.
My own view is that its (Swarm that is) is way overpriced and for the majority of users offers nothing more than you'll get with BA. In fact for those who wish to build their own automated triggers BA is by far the best option around.

Sorry, what's BA? I'd be keen to run some analysis on HD but Fracsoft can be very expensive for the amount of data you get.

.
Perhaps in the future it might be feasible for Gruss to purchase a license for Betfair historical data, and to develop a back-testing product with exactly the same features as Betting Assistant.

In fact, there's another API developer — with an inferior product to Betting Assistant, I hasten to add — who is currently beta-testing just such an application with their user base.

Customers buy meetings in a similar way that Fracsoft customers do, but for (slightly) less cost.

From what I can tell, they've been beta-testing it since last year, so I suspect there are some technical hurdles that are proving difficult to overcome. Interesting, though.

I can't imagine imagine what the cost would be if there will be historical data. basically, those kind of data are very expensive to have. I'll try to look for alternatives though. See what I can some up.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
