it has to do something with the server, blocking it, net:err_timed_out

Garry can you implement a previous suggestion of mine ( asap????)
be able to check the profit / loss for a given day/period
like bf has it Profit/Loss

Alrodopial

I had the same problem with not being able to log on to BF site from the laptop I normally use. But I could from my other laptop.

I had to remove my Macafee Firewall software and reload it to clear the problem.

I suspect that somehow Macafee had detected something odd with the login screen and blocked it during yesterdays crash.

Strange, but that's what cleared it for me.

I also found this thing about McAffe blocking logging using Google
but I'm using a vps so I dont know if they do use it.
Should I ask them if they can fix it , check it etc?
I dont know if I can do anything else

Alrodopial,

yes I would ask your vps provider to look at their firewall software and see if it has blocked the BF login page.

Their firewall may not be Macafee but whatever they use may have done the same thing.

Regards,

Ian

""yesterday bf api crashed (its also on the bf-community) and since then the site or was down or has huge problems. now the site is back, I can login, but cant see account-infos and cant logout. so I think its a problem of betfair (but only for some customers, not all)""

I think betfair did a quick maintenance here. It explains wy the primary server was not working. By the way, is there any quick way for users to check if the problem is on betfair side?

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
