FortunesAlwaysHiding. Don't use the program then. Simple as that. If you don't trust me that is your problem, not mine.

And where is the program transmitting login details? You better have proof before you make allegations like that. Sorry for ranting, but it's starting to pee me off. How many times do I have to say I am not up to funny business.

Well Layit has provided useful tools for a long time now without any funny things happening, so I think he can be trusted without doubt, if you don't agree don't use it!

Layit, i have a small suggestion to improve your excellent program...

Can you add a field in the preferences window to allow us to set the default refresh rate?
Each time i open a new market it currently defaults to 1 second (which tends to be too short an interval with eg 4 markets running at once).

Cheers

oh aye I forgot to mention that to measure the WOM you should take into consideration the price. You often get 1.05 **** shots which falsify the data, and prices can differ wildly etc...

Layit. A great piece of kit and you are to be applauded for your act of generosity in providing your efforts for free. Well done.

Now........

Any chance in incorporating a couple of small details in the display? Most will probably be just a display of variables already in memory (is that the correct terminology?)

1. A digital time display for those of us who use Betfair blind (with no access to a TV for race following). It would be nice to see how far from the "off" we are with just a glance.

2. In the Dutching area, any possibility of displaying the total "book" percentage of the dutch selections under consideration?

3. Also in the Dutching area, any chance of showing the "Return on Investment" figure. Again it will give a quick indication on the profit being achieved with multiple selections.

Hope you don't mind these views and many thanks again.

Good idea about the time. Better still might be to sound an alarm or flash a countdown clock when the scheduled off time is n seconds away. Where is can be set in the preferences.

TheGoldenVision. Great idea about the time display. It will be in the next release.

The dutch betting only works one way at the moment. You input the profit you require so the return on investment will always match the amount you entered. I realise that you may want to set the stake instead and then it could show the potential profit. Also you may want to hedge. All these features will be in future releases, but I am concentrating on the trading side at the moment.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
