Postby mak » Sat Jul 19, 2014 7:33 am

if I have a trigger like

LAY-TL5-F5

if me LAY bet is matched how can I use the UPDATE trigger in order to update the odds of me BACK bet after eg col AA5 is Y?

Currently I don't think you can update the offset between the opening trade being placed and waiting for the placement of the offset. Once the offset has been placed you can then update the bet using the bet ref if not already matched. A workaround is to record the offset bet requirement using a calc when placing the opening trade and then if you have to alter it cancel all and manually fire the re-calculated offset/stoploss.

Thanks Os. I was afraid it wasn't easy.
I need this to be fast and I don't know if it will be with vba.
Do you happen to have a code to record if a cell change? and what is happening with multiple bets in the same selection?

Your problem is due to the fact the offset betid doesn't go into the bet ref column so can't update it but more importantly your original bet won't necessarily be matched in one bet so likely to create numerous offset betid's. Most likely be a lot quicker to cancel the offsets and replace them in one bet you can update, probably even be better to write your own offset routine if you need quick updates to the offset

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
