Close all options tab

Postby pauliow1959 » Thu Aug 21, 2014 1:14 pm

I may be being stupid but here goes! Yesterday I was trading on the cricket and layed one team at 1.8. Unfortunately the match went the wrong way and the other team became favourites. At this point I wanted to red out equally on the match but when I hovered my mouse over the new favourites 'level profit' tab there was nothing shown. There was also nothing shown on the 'Close all options' tab. There was a position to close on the old favourites but because the money had moved to the other team the odds were far too high. This never happened with the old version. Is it me just being stupid or has anybody else noticed this?

Just looked at this again today and you definitely cant green or red out on the team that you didn't back or lay. it's ok on horses and football, where there's more than two selections, but where there's just the two selections. Help please!

Have you got "Level profit based on individual selection" ticked in grid preferences? If you have then it can only green up by placing a back bet against your original lay bet. It will not show level profit against selections you don't have previous bets on.

Also tick "Apply cross matching formula" in recognised markets in general preferences. If you see a green "XM" button in the blue title bar above the market then the virtual odds are being displayed. In this case you can green up on the same selection because it will use the more favourable odds from the other team to provide equivalent back odds and you can green up on the same selection. If you don't see the green "XM" button then it may not be a recognised market and can you let us know so that we can include it if possible.

Gary

I'm pleased to say that this has addressed the problem and it is now working perfectly. Thank you very much again for taking the trouble to answer my post.

Kind regards

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
