Code issue since update

Postby BFDon » Fri Feb 08, 2019 11:26 am

Recently updated to the latest 2 versions and i'm getting debugger in excel with

Set ba = New BettingAssistantCom.ComClass

Highlighted. What's changed?

Rolled back to Version 1.3.0.38y19 and it's fine

Hi,

Can you try doing a manual install which should fix that.

Uninstall via Windows Control Panel and then install via the following link:-

Do you have a link to 1.3.0.38y19? My bots didn't fire overnight for some unknown reason so I'd like to go back to the old version until the TLS change on 19th when any teething problems will be sorted

Hi,

For some users the update process affects the COM class.

Did you try manually installing from latest download link?
This worked for me.

The link is:-

Hi Mark / Gary,

My bot isn't working either since the latest update.

I am using ver1.3.0.40

The screen keeps freezing on "Fetching markets. Please wait."

I have tried uninstalling/re-installing the latest version already, to no avail.

Help appreciated - a link to a prior version would be useful.

Hi,

Ok, if it’s stuck at fetching markets.
I would recommend rebooting your PC and also modem / router.
That usually fixes that issue.

Mark

Thank you Mark - finally got this working.

Followed all the usual tips (reboot; uninstall/re-install, etc). Also tried it on a seperate machine (Windows 8.1), again to no avail.

Fix that worked for me was to download and install .NET Framework 4.7.2 from Microsoft.

<https://dotnet.microsoft.com/download/dotnet-framework-runtime/net472>

Another reboot and re-install of ver1.3.0.40 and it was finally working.

Just as well UK horse-racing is off! :D

Hope this is of help to someone.

So the updater ran automatically at the weekend but thankfully it worked fine this time round. Cheers

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
