loading from the cloud

Postby alrodopial » Fri Jul 05, 2019 8:52 am

Hi,
I'm trying to somehow link ba with an excel file stored in onedrive
I want to use the "log multiple sheets quick link" from ba to be easy to start it
Is it possible to be done?
or does the excel file needs to be opened and then manually link tabs to sheets?

Hi,

Sorry it will not work.
The Excel file must be on your computer's local drive because of security reasons.

Mark

Hi,

It's to do with the way the software connects to Excel and Microsoft security.
It's not something you can change.
I'm not sure that we can make it work.

Hi

I had same problem with a HP envy laptop, trying to run automated excel off onedrive.
Even copies stored on its desktop or in documents are affected.

But I found it has no problem to run gruss with automated excel books stored on Dropbox.
So thats get around I used if any help.

Dropbox basic plan (free) stores files locally and syncs then with your cloud folder
So I guess if you link ba to an excel file stored locally in your dropbox it will work
but this is not what I asked for
I wanted nothing to be stored locally
The dropbox plus plan (paid) stores files only in the cloud and not in your local hard drive but I don't have such plan to test it
I guess it will be like onedrive, so it will not work

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
